Character Sheet. 5e. Character Sheet App

This app has been updated to allow for more than just 5e characters. As such I've renamed the github repo to character-sheet-app and have moved the updated code (and all future updates) to https://charsheet.derikbadman.com.

If you have synced your data to the remote database:

You can just start using the new site, by going there, logging in, and then syncing your characters to your browser.

If you have not synced your data to the remote database:

You can try to recover the data if it is still saved to your local browser storage.

Note: You must be in the same browser and on the same domain as where you were last saving your characters.

In Chrome (and Chrome variant browsers):

  1. Right click on the screen and choose "Inspect" to open up the Developer Tools pane.
  2. Click on the "Application" tab.
  3. On the right side of the Application tab go to: "Storage" -> "Local Storage" and click on the current domain name.
  4. If any characters are available they will be shown in the list of "keys" as "charsheet-5e-" then a string of characters.
  5. Double click in the "value" section of the table to select the data. Copy it.
  6. At https://charsheet.derikbadman.com click on the "Restore" and paste the data into the text field there.
  7. That should migrate your character to the new page.

In Firefox:

  1. Right click on the screen and choose "Inspect" to open up the Developer Tools pane.
  2. Click on the "Storage" tab.
  3. On the right side of the Storage tab go to: "Local Storage" and click on the current domain name.

Other Browsers:

They should have a similar setup. You could try searching online for how to access the "Local Storage" data in the browser you are using.
